Mitch is a founder in Helix Agency Services with over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. Mitch’s expertise in the agency world extends from managing business and operations to technology. Two years after Mitch took his first job in the industry he founded, managed and grew his own Agency/Brokerage that he sold after 26 years to one of the top 20 US Brokers. Mitch stayed on with the new organization as SVP of Personal Insurance, managing one of the largest personal insurance divisions in the country and assumed the role of CIO. Mitch’s responsibilities have included customer service, operational excellence, efficiency, and managing the expansion and profitable growth of agency operations organically and via acquisition. Additionally, he managed the technology required for success in these areas. In 2008, Mitch was brought on board at another top 20 broker to help with the integration of their M&A activity and run their enterprise software. In 2016 Mitch and his team formed a strategic relationship with them to provide services delivered as an outsourced/Managed Service through Mitch’s own company Helix Agency Services.
Enrique is a seasoned technologist with 30 years of experience architecting and developing software solutions. Enrique has been focused for over half of those years on integrating an assortment of insurance software products, communications systems, and document management platforms as a consultant and employee of Wortham, an insurance brokerage firm. His solutions have created the means for moving information quickly and securely from separate systems into central data-stores that support solutions for reporting on and managing insurance operations. His expertise includes many of the products in the Vertafore agency product suite (including Sagitta, BenefitPoint, Worksmart and others), IManage Worksite document management system, Microsoft products, and broad set of tools and languages that have helped develop and manage efficient technology services for the brokerage.
Bindu has over 18 years of experience in challenging IT environments, many of which have been spent in the agency and brokerage world. Bindu has developed a solution at a brokerage to provide automated reporting and information access to administrators and service managers responsible for making timely data driven decisions. Her responsibilities have included development and support of the self-service reporting environment, providing web based tools to satisfy ad hoc report requests, and the integration of multiple sources of data, including many of the Vertafore products, into a single reporting framework. Bindu is experienced with major systems using the latest tools and methodologies with expertise in multi-tiered enterprise systems, including front-end, middleware, back-end, and web development.
Liz is a seasoned agency/broker consultant with more than 25 years of experience. She has successfully consulted on many large-scale, enterprise-level, and multi-office software implementations, partnering with hundreds of agencies over the years to drive product adoption, operational efficiency and best practices. Liz has been a trusted advisor to the agency/broker community, delivering comprehensive business consulting focused on understanding an agency’s unique challenges, developing productive partnerships with customers, key staff and driving business results.
Stephen is a meticulous IT Professional who has worked in the insurance industry for 20 years. The last 7 years was with one of the largest public Insurance Brokers worldwide implementing and migrating infrastructure and core systems for dozens of agency acquisitions across the US. His enterprise experience includes Windows Server/Desktop, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, LAN-WAN Optimization, Fax/Telephony Solutions, Security and Patching Solutions, Database Management, Reporting, Business Continuity Planning and Vendor Management. Additionally, Stephen has a vast knowledge of the entire Vertafore suite of products including Sagitta, Benefit Point and WorkSmart as well as the associated third party integrations (AMS Word, TransactNow, Agency Download, PL Rating, etc.).
